Obituary for Geneva Fleming (Wolfe)

Geneva Wolfe Fleming, of Athens, died Monday night, September 30, 2013 at Woods Memorial Hospital.
A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Greely and Gertrude Smith Wolfe
and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Fleming, a granddaughter, Karen Fleming
and a sister, Juanita Wolfe.
She was a member of the Genesis Baptist Church and a former member of East Athens Baptist Church
and was also a former member of First Baptist Church of Athens where she was a member of the
Senior Adult Handbells, the Choir, and secretary of her Sunday school class. She was a lifetime
member of the Beta Sigma Phi Soriety, and also was a member of the Senior Citizens Center and did
volunteer work with the Adult Activities Center. She was a dental assistant to Dr. T.J. Burton for 30 yrs.
until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Mike and Margaret Fleming of Nashville, and
Larry and Donna Fleming of Chattanooga; one granddaughter, Laura Fleming; three grandsons, Jeff
Fleming, Russ Fleming and Rusty Fleming; and one great-grandson.
