Nina Gunter Taylor, 62, of the Cumberland Hills Community near Englewood, died Wednesday evening, February 18, 2015 at her home.

She was a native of Richmond County, Georgia and a longtime resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Anna Blankenship Gunter.

She was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. She was a graduate of McMinn County High School and a graduate of Cleveland State Community College. She was associated with Athens Products for 30 years.
And later was associated with Walmart as a manager.

She is survived by her son, William B. "Buck" Taylor of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Sandra Gunter of Biloxi, MS and David and Melanie Gunter of Athens; great nieces and nephews, Kyle, Sandra, Claire and Case Robinson of Biloxi, MS; and a special friend, Chad Hensley of Athens.

A funeral service will be conducted, 2:00 pm, Monday, February 23, 2015. in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
