Obituary for Matthew Jason Viscusie

Matthew Jason Viscusie, 41, of Riceville, died Saturday, September 12, 2015,from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was a native of Little Falls, NY and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Etowah. He was a member of the Athens VFW Post 5146.
He was retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Delk Viscusie of Riceville; mother and step-father, Nora Cool-Guinup and Mark Guinup of Stratford, NY; father and step-mother, Joseph P. and Nadine Viscusie of Dolgeville, NY; two sisters, Erica Fahd and her husband Richard of Dolgeville, NY and Jill Viscusie and her fiance Peter Summa of Lee Center, NY; one brother Josh Cool of Stratford, NY; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Whiting and Elaine Delk of Athens; four nieces, Syerra Vedder,Lille Cool, Rachael Moys and Bryony Moys; two nephews, Brenden Fahd and Noah Fahd; cousin, Jeena Cool; sister-in-law, Tracey Moys and her husband, Andrew of Porthleven, England; and two brothers-in-law, Gerald Delk and his wife Meredith of Spring City and Sam Delk of Athens.
A memorial service will be conducted, 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Whiting Delk officiating. His cremains will be placed at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a time to be announced. The family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
