Obituary for Helen Trotter (Ingram)

Helen Ingram Trotter, 87, of Athens, died Wednesday evening, June 29, 2016 at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late John Grover and Anna Ball Ingram. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Audra Richeson and Margaret Matthews, and brothers James and Glenn Ingram.
Helen was a former member of Wesleyanna United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Evening Pilot Club. Helen was associated with First National Bank for 29 years retiring as Operations Manager.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Trotter of Athens; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Gary Hicks of Athens; one granddaughter, Tully Anne Hicks and Fiancee James Thomas Hughes; and one great-granddaughter, Tinley Anne all of Athens.
A funeral service will be conducted, 1:30 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Dawson and Rev. Charla Sherbakoff officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
Active and Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.
