John Parkinson, MD, EdD, born November 7, 1936, died .
He has chosen cremation and requests there be no service or memorial, but that everyone continue their life and activities in the same manner as when he was alive. "Along my life's journey, I have enjoyed my friends and family, for whom I am thankful."
His practice consisted of the public and private sectors of Psychiatry and emergency medicine until his retirement. He was a former member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Medical Associations, and the American Psychiatric Association.
Surviving are two brothers, Walter and his wife Lene and family of Riceville, and Lane and his wife Sylvia and family of Kingston; four nephews and 2 nieces and their families.
