K. Scott Bivens,71, of Riceville, died Sunday afternoon, August13, 2017 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was the son of the late Kenneth and Marian Lasater Bivens.
He was of the Methodist faith and a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was a residential General Contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dale Bivens of Riceville.
At Scott's request there will be no formal visitation or service.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
