Obituary for Pauline "Polly" Ware (Gregory)

Pauline (Polly) Gregory Ware, 94, of Athens, died Friday October 20, 2017, at Morning Pointe of Athens.
She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was the daughter of the late Luster and Ruby McPhail Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Robert Sneed, and her second husband Charles Amos Ware, a son-in-law, Curt Mitchell, a granddaughter, Mia McKeehan, a sister Eula Guy, and two brothers W.L(Winnie). and Raymond Gregory.
She was a longtime member of Tranquility United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Mitchell of Athens; granddaughter and her husband, Lia and Billy Bayes; four great-grandchildren, Maranda Fox McCroskey and spouse SPC Donte, Elijah Fox and fiance' Hanna Scott, LCPL Dakota Powell and Lucas Bayes; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Gregory of Athens.
A funeral service will be held, 6:30 pm, Monday, October 23rd in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Littleton and Tim Gunnells officiating. The committal service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday at McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Carey Hicks, Richard Newman, Elijah Fox, Lucas Bayes, Billy Bayes and Tony Carpenter.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in honor of Polly, to Tranquility United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Mary Ratledge 433 Co. Rd. 218, Athens, TN 37303.
