Carol Weeks Shadden, 70, of Englewood, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.
Carol was a lifelong native and resident of McMinn County and was the daughter of the late James Carl and Margaret Rowland Weeks. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dwayne "Hot Shot" Shadden; maternal grandparents, Frank and Linnet Ethel (Darlie) Henderson Rowland, and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Edith Armstrong Weeks.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir. She was associated with Woods Memorial Hospital District for 20 years and had also worked at Cleveland Livestock Auction.
She is survived by a son, Collin Shadden of Englewood and his companion Suzanne Coleman of Etowah; and one grandson, Kenneth Greyson Boyd of Englewood.
A funeral service will be conducted, 11:00 am, Monday, January 22nd in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Loren Boyce officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday January 21st from 4:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home.
