Dorothy Mae Ingle Powell Massengill, 80, of Decatur, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.
She was a lifelong resident of Decatur and was a daughter of the late Hubert and Effie Thomas Ingle. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Guthrie Powell.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton Robert Massengill of Decatur; one daughter, Brenda Powell of Oliver Springs; one son David Powell of Decatur; and two step-daughters, Cherie Stevenson of Chattanooga and Lorie (Terry) Davis of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00, pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Decatur Cemetery with Shirley Jennings speaking. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:15 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
The family expresses appreciation to the Staff at Life Care Center of Athens for their care and support.
