Obituary for Eleanor Streetman Haddock (Dukes)

Eleanor Dukes Streetman Haddock, 94, of Athens, died on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Athens Place.
She was a native of Lagrange, GA and a longtime resident of Athens, TN. She was a daughter of the late James Hubert and Mary Lou Easterwood Dukes and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence M. Streetman, second husband, John Haddock and son Andy Streetman.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens for over 51 years, since 1967, She held many offices at First Baptist , worked in the nursery, pre-school, and taught Sunday School for over 50years. She was a G.A. Worker, W.M.U. Director, served on the personnel committee, Senior Adult Choir, and played hand bells. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years. She was Mother of The Year in 2008. She served in U.S Army Medical Corp during WWII as a Surgical Technician and attained the rank of PFC.
She is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Alan and Priscilla Streetman of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Laurel Streetman of Murfreesboro TN; one granddaughter, Heather Bisson; two grandsons, Scott Streetman and Zeke Streetman; two great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews; stepsons, Jack (Susan) Haddock, Wayne Haddock, and Marty Haddock; and several step-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Dr. Jason Clark officiating. There will be no formal visitation (at her wish).

The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 305 Ingleside Avenue, Athens, TN 37303; or a charity of the giver's choice.
