Lloyd "Doc" Kimbrough, Jr., 75, of Riceville, died Monday morning October 22, 2018, at Starr Regional Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Lloyd W, Sr and Mary Wade Kimbrough. He was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Ellen Kimbrough, affectionately called Sis.
He was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. He was a graduate of McMinn County High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He served as an agent with the Woodmen of the World Insurance.
He is survived by an aunt, Willene Wade Robertson; and uncle, C.L. "Robbie" Robertson of Chattanooga; several cousins, Mary Swafford of Athens, Patsy Goforth of White Pine, Herb Rockholt of Decatur,Charles Wade Robertson and Connie Scholl of both Chattanooga; and many other second cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted, 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-2:30 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Morris, Benny Monroe, George Starr, Bill Riley,Bob Foster, and Johnny Grubb.
