Richard Wayne Daniels, 66, of Decatur, died Monday night, December 3, 2018 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was a native of McMinn County and longtime resident of Decatur and was a son of the late Richard and Emma Arnold Daniels. He was also preceded in death by a son Richard Wayne Daniels, Jr, and his father-in-law, Robert Tuggle.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was associated with Shaw Industries for 11 years until his retirement. He enjoyed working on his tractors and also operating them.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Lewis Daniels of Decatur; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Michelle Daniels of Decatur and Stacie and Austin Wileman of Alabama; a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Brandy Daniels of Decatur; one granddaughters; one grandson, Travis Daniels, Jr; his mother-in-law, Margaret White Tuggle of Hixson; and one brother, Allen Daniels of Dunlap.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at Mtn. View Cemetery in Decatur. There will be no formal visitation.
