Wanda Blevins Norwood, 72, of Riceville, died Friday night, October 6, 2017 at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late Daniel Jarvis and Myrtle Lou Small Blevins. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Chris Raper and granddaughter Andrea Marcus and Angela Raper.
She was a member of Woodward Church of God, and had been a wallpaper contractor for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Norwood of Riceville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Renee Raper of Athens, Sandra Marcus and Don Davis of Tellico Plains, and Julie and Darrell Simbeck of Athens; two granddaughters, Rachel Simbeck, Aaryn Simbeck; four grandsons, Nathan Simbeck, Brandon Raper, Ryan Hicks and Eli Marcus; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Blevins of Athens; and one nephew and his wife, Bruce and Pam Blevins of Athens.
A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10th in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Sneed and Danny Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
