Obituary for Kyle Lee O'Dell

Kyle Lee O'Dell, 44, of Athens, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at U. T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a native of Omaha, Nebraska and was the son of the late Donald John and Janice Jean Sorenson O'Dell.
He was a member of the Athens Christian Church where he served as a deacon. Kyle served with his wife as Treasurer of the Southeast Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind, which serves Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Christy N. Rogers O'Dell of Athens; mother-in-law and her husband, Bridgett and Kelley Dallas of Cleveland; father-in-law and his wife, Randy and Tammy Rogers of Ocoee; brother, Keli John O'Dell of Council Bluff, Iowa; brother-in-law and his wife, Jeremiah and Courtney Dallas of Cleveland; nephew, Jaxon Dallas; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his best friend Eddie Monday.
A Celebration of Kyle's life will be held, 1:30 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Athens Christian Church with Pastor Rich White, Mr. Carl Cowart, and Dr. Rhonda J. Ferguson officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
The family requests donation in lieu of flowers be made in honor of Kyle to The National Federation of the Blind. Contributions should be mailed directly to Christy O'Dell (President), 295 Sara Drive SE, Cleveland, TN 37323.
