Glenda E. McDaniel, 84, of Athens died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Life Care Center of Athens.
She was a native of Clay County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Brodus and Minnie Laney Hooper.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thurman McDaniel of Athens; two daughters, Doris Cameron of Athens, and Sue Gray of Knoxville; and two granddaughters, Elaine Cameron and Hilaire Prock and her husband David.
A graveside service will be conducted,11:00 am, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Allan Watson officiating. At Glenda's request there will be no formal visitation.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to friends Mr. and Mrs. James Ivan Grubb, Rev and Mrs. Allan Watson and the staff at Life Care Center of Athens.
