Obituary for Clinton Timothy Wilson

Clinton Timothy Wilson, 85, died on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
He was born on October 10, 1932, in Athens, Tennessee, to William Peeler “Bill” Wilson and Artie Nora Maria Emma Cain Wilson. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Bowater after many years of service. He was currently a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and formerly a member of East Athens Baptist Church. After retiring, he drove many miles delivering meals for Mobile Meals, whistling a song and serving meals with a smile.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edna Layman Wilson, daughter Ellen and her husband Dan Millard, and daughter Beth and her husband Michael Burke. He had six grandchildren: Wilson (Brittani) Millard, Layman Millard, Chae Millard, Elizabeth (Michael) Provo, Kaitie Burke, David Burke. He had two great-granddaughters: Adaline Provo and Gracelyn Millard.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th, at Smith Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow in the chapel, officiated by Mike Dannel.
There will be no graveside service.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Wilson, Donnie Wilson, Scott Wilson, Brian Spears, Steve Sherlin, Jack Roberts, and Scottie Fox.
