Clarence Hubert Yarbrough, Jr. 75, of Athens, died Monday morning, March 26, 2018 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Clarence H., Sr. and Emma Sue Boyd Yarbrough. He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Yarbrough .
He was of the Baptist faith, and was a machinist with Charleston Hosiery Mill and Allied Hosiery Mill until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Harris Yarbrough of Athens; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steven Yarbrough of Athens and Scott and Julie Yarbrough of Rainsville, Ala; step-children and their spouses, Shane Watkins, Allen Watkins, Becky and Randy Bookout, all of Madisonville, Julie and Tim Evans of Athens and Stacy and Amber Watkins of Nashville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; one sister and her husband, Blana Sue and J.B. Wilson of Athens; and a special cousin, Charles (Fudd) Burris of Athens.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Veal officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
