Condolence From: JoAnne DeKlavon
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Joe and his family. Denise Young and I enjoyed Joe's company while he showed us around Chattanooga, Sweetwater, and Gatlinburg, TN. They were places I would not have otherwise known about. I admired his humor and courage. We will miss Joe's company. God bless Joe and your family.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to all of Joe's family. We often went to lunch together when we worked together at Bayer. To Michael, your dad once told me a story about a time you took him out to dinner in San Diego. He said a staff member at the club approached the table and asked "Mr. Burger, would you care for anything else", as your dad turned to answer he quickly realized it was you that was being asked the question - not him. He was so very proud of you and the person you grew to be.

Condolence From: Linda Dunn
Condolence: I enjoyed meeting Joe and helping with the move from his home to a studio apartment in assisted living. When the one bedroom was available at Dominion, it was a joy to unpack and display his treasured scientific instruments and die-cast cars. Joe knew the make and model of the cars as I unpacked them and displayed them in the curio cabinets. This is a memory I will cherish. Rest in Peace Joe.
