Millie Altizer Fields, 93, of Athens, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at U. T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was a native of Whitaker Ridge, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Jessie James and Josie Altizer. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy Hubert Fields.
She is of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Revina Carrick of Sweetwater and Lee and Jody Elmore, III of Etowah; two sons and daughters-in-law. Ronald and Pam Altizer of Walnut Grove, Missouri and Donald and Nenita Altizer of Lampasa, TX; five granddaughters, one grandson, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 am, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday prior to the graveside service.
