Jim was a fine first cousin. We grew up together in Athens and have kept in touch through cards, emails, and visits in Athens and here in Jacksonville, FL. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

It is with sadness we learn of the passing of Jim. I had the opportunity to work with Jim for many years on so many levels. My condolences to Ross and the family. God bless.

So shocking and sad to learn of Jim's passing. Seventh grade classmates at Forest Hill, classmates at McMinn and Wesleyan and friends for over seventy years. He was not only our senior class ('52) president at McMinn, but president for life. He led our class, inspired us to stay together, and with help from others, contributed to our class keeping in touch and accounting for every this day. A small bit among the many contributions he has made to his community.

Through our class reunions and many private contacts, Jim has been a lifeline, connecting the dots between then and now; his presence and friendship was always supportive and positive.

My best wishes to his family...and many close friends. Although difficult, I will try to follow the adage I use all too often these days: "Let's don't be sad because it is over; let's smile because it happened." With Jim, that becomes possible.
