She was a native of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late Arnold and Nina Parkinson Womac. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William B. Kinder (3-10-2000), two sisters, Helen Edwards and Cathryn Guffey, and a granddaughter, Melanie Wiles.
She was for many years a military wife who raised her children while her husband served in the Navy.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lelia and David Whalen; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William H. Kinder and David and Janis Kinder; grandchildren, Tracy Perket, David Kinder, Jr. and Laura Kinder; great-grandchildren, Jannie, Jarrett and Jacob Wiles, Andrew Perket, and Elizabeth Kinder; one sister, Evelyn Brooks; and six brothers, Lee, Joe, Charles, Sterling, Max, and Paul Womac.
A funeral service will be conducted, 6:00 pm, Friday, January 25, 2019 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Garry King officiating. The committal service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
