Obituary for Allen Self
Allen Self, 70, of Athens, died Friday afternoon, June 21, 2019 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was raised by his grandparents the late Robert and Lillie Axley McDonald.
He was associated with Johnson Controls as a security guard until his retirement and had helped his grandparents on their farm. He was an avid fisherman.
A graveside service will be conducted, 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Idlewild Cemetery with Brother Glen Standridge officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
