Obituary for Johnny Bob "Bobby" Underdown Jr.
2019 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Johnny Bob Underdown, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife Denise Wiley Underdown.
Bobby was very artistic, loved flying, had been associated with the Swift Association, and loved playing and entertaining his grandsons.
He was retired from Bowater Papermill.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Moses Underdown of Athens; daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Chris Morgan of Florence, AL; son and his wife, Johnny Bob III and Melissa Underdown of Riceville; two sisters and their husbands, Laura and Tony Sullivan of Athens and Lisa and Wayne Carter of Cleveland; brother Donny Underdown of Athens; grandsons, Landen Underdown, Myles Underdown, Gresham Morgan, Henry Morgan, and Charlie Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 2:30 pm, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Michael Underdown, Chris Morgan, Steven Underdown, Tony Sullivan, Spencer Sullivan and Jordan Perleoni.
The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 E. College Street, Athens, TN 37303.
