Obituary for Ronald Harvey McDonald

Ronald Harvey McDonald, 84, of Englewood, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at
a nursing home facility in Spring City.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was a son of the late William and Carrie Moore McDonald. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Stephen McDonald, brothers, Cecil and Clarence McDonald, and a sister Inez McDonald.
He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force and attended Tennessee Tech at Cookeville. He was associated with L&N Railroad an CSX Railroad as a conductor for 35 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Stephens McDonald of Englewood; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Harvey McDonald of Englewood and Thomas Michael and Debbie McDonald of Etowah and Jenny McDonald of Etowah; grandchildren, Beth Gregg and her husband Henry, Joshua McDonald, Alex McDonald; and a sister, Aliene Howell of Toney, Alabama.
A graveside service will be conducted, 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 28th at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Mike Bernard officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
