William Ratray Falconer, III, 86, of Athens and formerly of Ludlow, Mass. died Monday, January 4, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Ludow, Mass. and was the son of the late William Ratray Jr. and Elaine Mae Jarvis Falconer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ella Marie Belisle Falconer, a son William R. Falconer IV, and a sister Georgianna Bourdeau.
He was a member of St. John Baptist Church of Ludlow, Mass and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of ANNR, and was a former owner and founding member of Sunchasr Travel Club. Longtime member of Green Mountain Hiking Club, he was a 50 year Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, and was a member of Ludlow Fire Dept. His passion was his gourmet chef career. He was employed as a data processor until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Marie Ann Falconer and Thomas George Nutting of Athens; sister, Margaret Lavoie Fuller of Ludlow, Mass; Daryl and Alicia Nutting ; and great-grandson, Alexander Nutting of Ballston Spa, NY.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
