Obituary for Beatrice Hill (Vaughn)
Beatrice Vaughn Hill, 95, of Athens, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Morning Pointe of Athens.
She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late Charlie and Naomi Kinser Vaughn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade E. Hill, sisters, Hazel Sliger, Martha Weaver, Mabel Haworth, Kathryn Wallace, Virginia Skidmore, and brothers, James Vaughn and Taylor Vaughn.
She was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church. She was an executive secretary for Chris Craft Marine Corp in Chattanooga, TN until her retirement.
She is survived by two nieces and their spouses, Janice and Allen Bowman of Decatur and Joyce and Wayne Widener of Delano; nephews and their spouses, Gene and Pat Sliger, Ellis and Frances Sliger all of Athens, and David Sliger of Englewood.
A graveside service will be conducted 1:30 pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Josh Weaver officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
