Obituary for Oneta Wright (Stewart)
Oneta Stewart Wright, 90, of Athens, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at NHC of Athens.
She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late J.R. and Callie Davis Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband Simon Wright, sisters, Dorothy Stewart McMillan, Nellie Sue Stewart Elrod, Martha Stewart Prichard, and twin sister Juanita Stewart McPeak, and brothers, Jerdan, James, Samuel and Calvin Stewart.
She was a member of the Athens Lutheran Church, and was co-owner of Grace Peek Florist for many years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Lisa Wright of Athens.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday, September 23rd at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Don Coulter officiating.
Pallbearers will be Casey McDaniel, Shannon McDaniel, Franklin McMillan, Mitch Peels and Sid Wright.
