Obituary for Christopher Ray "Chris" Webb
Christopher "Chris" Ray Webb, 57, of Athens, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was the son of the late Clyde B. and JoAnn Clayton Webb.
He was a member of the Knox Christian Center. He was a graduate of McMinn County High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was an Eagle Scout and had served on the McMinn County E911 Board.
Chris owned and operated A-Rentals in Athens for the past 34 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Dara Ramstein of Simpsonville, SC; son Eric Webb of Athens; former wife and special friend, Summer Bouthot of Athens; and other special friend, Soonja Shin of Cleveland.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2022 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Barry Culberson officiating. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home from 12:00-1:30pm, Wednesday prior to the graveside service. Family and friends will meet at Smith Funeral Home Wednesday at 1:30pm and proceed to the cemetery for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bishop, Steve Miller, Tracy Powell, Rex Revis, Travis Cagle and Rick Bouthot.
