Gregory "Greg" G. Goenner, age 57, of Athens, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at his residence.
He was a native of Clear Lake, Minnesota and was a longtime resident of McMinn County. He was a son of the late Dale Goenner.
Greg was currently employed by the McMinn County Sheriff's Department as a Corporal Corrections Officer and was of the Catholic Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kim Roberts Goenner.
Daughter's; Gabrielle Goenner and Crystal Schrimpsher.
Son's: Grant Goenner and John-Wesley Miller.
His mother; Sharon Goenner.
Sisters's; Amy Hopper and Eileen Persike.
Brother's; Jeff Goenner and Brad Goenner.
11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on April 27, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home.
