Obituary for Diamond Cassandra Stroud (Ray)
Diamond Cassandra Ray Stroud, 28, of Athens, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Starr Regional Medical Center.
Diamond was born in Madisonville, TN and was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. She was preceded in death by a son Sawyer Stroud and grandmother, Linda Stanley.
She attended New Life Baptist Church and was a graduate of McMinn County High School .
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Stroud of Athens; sons, Bentley, Kayson, and Sutton Stroud of Athens; mother, Leann Brock of Athens; father, Randy Ray of Kingston; sister, Lace Lovanh of Athens; brother, Kristian Ray of Decatur,TN; maternal grandfather, Roy Stanley of Athens; paternal grandparents, Gail and Joe Ray of Ten Mile; father-in-law, Keith Stroud.
A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 pm, Monday, May 15, 2023 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Haney officiating. The committal service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday May 16, 2023 at Sullins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Rod Wyatt, Katie Coffey, Daniel McKeehan, Mercy Hollifield, Javaris Moore, and Joey Millsaps.
