I will be able to attend the service tonight, but wanted to also send a message. Mr. and Mrs. Zimmer have welcomed me into their home and family for the past 38 years. Although I towered over the entire family by at least two feet and according to Mr. Zimmer never got that hair cut I so badly needed, I was welcomed. My teenage years are peppered with memories of phone calls going something like this, “Hello Mr. Zimmer, is Kim there?.........No, “click” to staying the night or even whole weekend (as long as I helped cook dinner). I knew Mr. Zimmer loved me. His stern demeanor never fooled he for a second, I knew the loving family man he was and I was family. I will miss you Mr. Zimmer, I know you are smiling at me and yes I have a hair appointment scheduled for next week.
