Linda Douglas Mullins, 73, of Athens, died Monday morning, January 23, 2017 at Starr Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Sevierville, and was a long time resident of Athens. She was a daughter of the late Lee Edward and Bess Louise Latham Douglas, and was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Mullins, sister Virginia Guinn, and brother Charles Douglas.
She was a member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church. She had attended Tennessee Wesleyan University and had been associated with Dr. Wolfenden as a dental assistant. She was active in the McMinn County Republican Women's Club, was an avid Bridge player, and loved the Tennessee Volunteers.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Bruce Kelley of Brevard, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Crystal Mullins of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Kelley and Austin Mullins who affectionately called her" Monie"; brother, Bill Douglas of Ohio; brother-in-law and his wife, Randy and Brenda Mullins of Athens; and sisters-in-law and their husbands, Martha and Harold Priest of Chattanooga and Linda and Mike Ratledge of Athens.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:30 pm, Friday, January 27, 2017 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Les Rust officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am til 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Kelley, Matthew Kelley, Austin Mullins, Steven Taylor, Scott Kelley, Scott Reid, Randy Mullins, Tyler Ratledge and Harold Priest.
