Mary Crockett Curtis, 72, of Athens, died Monday morning, February 20, 2017 at NHC of Athens.
She was a native of Spanish Fork, Utah and longtime resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late James and Hazel Howell Crockett. She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny Curtis who was owner of Johnny Curtis Auto Parts and also a daughter Susan Curtis Voyles, a sister Jimmye Baker and one brother Billy Howell Crockett.
She was a member of Cedar Springs United Methodist Church. She was associated with Citizens National Bank and Athens Federal for many years as a teller until her retirement.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Mickey Chandler of Fayetteville, GA ;one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Scott and Rachel Curtis of Athens; a son-in-law, Larry Voyles of Senoia, GA; three granddaughters, Elizabeth(Steven) Calicutt, Amanda (Jamie) Howard, and Mackenzie Voyles; three grandsons, John and Nate Curtis and Larry Voyles, III; three great grandsons, Matthew and Marshall Howard and Davis Calicutt; two great-granddaughters, Brylei Howard and Lane Calicutt; one sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Bill Torrence of Mt. Juliet; one brother, Tom Crockett of Ten Mile; brother-in-law and his wife, Jimmy and Carolyn Curtis of Athens, and a sister-in-law Jane Tackett of Florida; and several special nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 11:30 am, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Matt Curtis & Jim Curtis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Smith Funeral Home.
